Active in the Montreal dance scene since 2013, Marie-Reine Kabasha, aka M Queen, has been dedicated to both the freestyle scene, specifically in Waacking and theatre work.

She has had the opportunity to work with creators with distinct and versatile artistic languages, including the companies EBNFLŌH, under the direction of
Alexandra Spicey Lande and Tentacle Tribe under the direction of Elon Höglund
and Emmanuelle Lêphan.

Since then, she has continued to find meaning and pleasure in working to refine movement and awareness and recently started developing her own artistic language through a research project called “Trigger Point”.

Tegvaran Sooch will be premiering his first solo work. He is a versatile artist from Surrey, BC, training in styles like Hip-Hop and KRUMP. Representing the “illest illusionz” crew, Teg has had

the opportunity to compete in various local and out-of-town street dance tournaments, spanning cities such as Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and Seattle. For Teg, dance is a way of storytelling and emotional expression.

He draws inspiration from the energy of the people around him, movie characters, and anime. His artistic approach involves the fusion of experimental concepts with foundational elements in unconventional ways, resulting in distinctive and captivating movement.

Tokyo native, Momoko ‘Momo’ Shimada brings a unique, creative, and dynamic dance style to the floor. She began her career training in classical ballet and contemporary and was introduced to breaking and house dance in University.

Dance has always been a part of her life and she continues to have an extensive career even after the birth of her son. They come as a pair to almost every event and her son has watched her compete in notable battles such as Ladies of Hip Hop, Step Ya Game Up, and as a finalist in Redbull Canada 2023.

Her dance journey would not be the same without the Vancouver street dance community and her crews Diamonds In The Rough and Hoodz.

Born in Nigeria, Kosi is a multi-hyphenate dance artist who started her journey with street dance forms in 2012. Since then, she has gone on to share her systems of approach across the world, most notably at The Alvin Ailey School and the O2 Forum, amongst others. Kosi is currently tasked with embodying movement that is informed and promoting emotional intelligence through her art - as it impacts the way we preserve dance practices for generations to come.
